General Practitioners

Dr. Sherrie Chew
Sherrie graduated from University of Tasmania in 2002. She completed her internship in a busy tertiary hospital in Sydney before moving to Melbourne to undertake a diploma in Obstetrics and gynaecology.
General practice and Skin became her passion when she worked in the country and also spurred her to complete her rural training of 3 years whilst she adapts herself to the country towns- its people, the scenery and the way of life for a medical profession in dealing with medical emergencies.
Due to the wealth of experience working in small and medium sized medical centres, being on call for satellite hospitals, Sherrie has gained invaluable insight into management of patients by providing wholistic care rather than treating diseases.
Having worked in a ‘boutique’ clinic in the western suburb voted ‘Victoria General Practice of the year award 2008’ she has learnt much in preventative medicine and in providing the utmost in modern medicine. She remains at the forefront of General Practice with continuing medical education so as to provide her patients with the best in evidence-based medicine.
She is proud to be part of the many services HEMAC provide to its patients.
Sherrie currently also works with a well-known dermatologist and is well trained in laser and cosmetic dermatology in a very busy clinic in Armadale.
In her free time, Sherrie enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 young children.
